Start with the project overview. Why is it called Sisu?The name connects Finnish perseverance with a Nokia that still has life left in it. Read the story behind the name. Is this a Nokia project?No. It is an independent hobby project. Will it have Bluetooth?No. Bluetooth and wireless pairing are not planned. Sisu is meant to keep the simplicity of the 3210; those features do not belong in this project. What about Wi-Fi?No. LTE is here to keep calls and text messages working on modern networks. Wi-Fi would add another radio and another set of settings to a phone meant to stay simple. A camera?No. A camera would change the handset and its purpose. The original enclosure and monochrome display are part of what this project is keeping. Apps, a web browser or social media?No. There will be no app store, browser or social-media apps. The built-in tools and games fit this phone. Turning it into a pocket computer does not. Could it have a touchscreen?No. Real buttons and the small original display are the point. Can I buy a board or kit?No. There are no boards, kits or preorders. Build & availability explains what is available. Can I download the design and firmware?Yes, the design files and source. There is no ready-to-flash image. The build page links both repositories and explains the requirements. Can I copy Rev B2 as-is?No. It needs board corrections. Read the known faults and linked errata before considering a build. Is Rev C the finished version?No. It is still a plan. See what's next for the work ahead. Which LTE bands does it support?The current prototype uses the Telit LE910C1-WWX. Other voice-capable regional variants can be used for different bands. See the LTE band table and module choices. Which carriers has it been tested with?AT&T in the United States. Other carriers have not yet been tested. See the network tests for the current results. Does it use the original battery format?Yes. Rev B2 uses the original two-cell NiMH format. Lithium packs are not a supported substitute. See power and charging. How does the battery gauge work?It combines charge measurements with voltage and learns the pack's capacity over time. The firmware page explains the gauge and charging controls. How long does the battery last?Early figures suggest a few days, but there is no firm runtime yet. Battery condition, signal and use all affect it. The standby measurements include the conditions and estimates. Is it running the original Nokia software?No. DCP-3 is new firmware that recreates the familiar interface. See the recreated interface and original assets for the distinction. Does it update over the air?No. Firmware updates use a physical service connection. See the build and recovery instructions. Will it fit every Nokia 3210 donor?It fits the project's donor handset. Other variants, worn contacts and replacement parts still need checking. The hardware page lists the original parts it uses.
